The feast of Our Lady of Sorrows (Il-Festa tad-Duluri), is celebrated on the Friday before Good Friday. Helpful Tips For Visitors

  • 👔 Attire: It is of utmost respect to dress modestly and comfortably during the function and procession. Bring a light jacket especially if the day is not warm.
  • 🕰️ Duration: The processions usually take around 1 to 1.5 hours on average depending on the route for each village which is usually not very long.
  • 📷 Photography: The use of photography is permitted, however, refrain from using flash, especially in churches. In this procession only one statue is used, the one dedicated to Our Lady of Sorrows. 
  • 🚌 Transport: All public transport services operate during the usual hours.
  • ⛔ Closures: Due to the procession route within the towns and village there will be various closed roads until the procession proceeds through, usually streets close to the parish church.
  • 🚫 Do not cross or hinder the path of the procession.
